How To Change Your Facebook Username

Facebook username is a unique name you can create with your facebook account so people can easily find your wall or homepage on facebook by adding your username to facebook URL in this format http://www.facebook.com/USERNAME. Before now, ID numbers were used in place of usernames, until facebook saw the need to give its subscribers the freedom to choose their unique names.
In this post, I will be showing you the simple step by step guide to change your facebook username.

Step 1:   Open the Account drop-down menu at the top right corner of your facebook homepage and choose "Account Settings"
Step 2:   Click the Edit link next to Username. See the screen-shot below:

The screen-shot above explains it all, just do as I marked them. Type your new username in the open field, type your current facebook account password and click Save Changes.That's it, you are done!

Note: You must type your correct password for this changes to take effect on your account. So far, facebook only allows you to choose a username once, so make sure you choose a name that you won't have double mind changing it tomorrow. I also came across posts that said you can change your username anything you want, I have not really verified it, you can find it suing this method, if you had already chosen a username before.
