Easiest Way On How To Use MTN BIS to Browse On Computer Unlimitedly

BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) cannot be use for pinging, chatting and for other BlackBerry services alone. I learnt that it can be use to browse and download unlimitedly on computers without any limitation. When I found this, I was happy because at least this will save me from some expenses a bit.

Today, I want to share with you the method to use your MTN BIS with your computer. This method will save you from subscribing on your Modem and BB at the same time. The softwares we are going to use for these are UltraSurf, FreeGate and Hotspot Shield. Though there are many softwares we can use for this stuff but am going to be updating the post with new softwares as I continue with my research. Below is a simple explanation on how to use and get the software.

How to Use Your MTN BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) on Your Computer


#1. You must first subscribe to the MTN BIS. This can be done by sending BBC to 21600 (#1,500 / Month) or BBC WEEK to 21600(#500 / Week) through text.
#2. After that a subscription confirmatory message will be sent to you, then connect your BB with your computer or Insert your Sim card into your Modem.
#3. You need to create a new connection profile on your BlackBerry Desktop Manager or Modem using the following:
Access Point: blackberry.net
Username: web
Password: web

After proper configuration, then connect.

How to Use FreeGate with MTN BIS


1. Download freegate software from HERE
2. After downloading the software, then launch it and wait for it to connect automatically
3. After a successful connection, then configure your browser manually to work with:
Http and Https Proxy: 127.0.0.1 and Port: 8580. If done properly you should be connected to the internet. That’s all.

How to Use UltraSurf with MTN BIS


1. Download freegate software from HERE
2. After downloading the software, then extract and launch it and wait for it to connect automatically
3. After a successful connection, then configure your browser manually to work with:
Http and Https Proxy: 127.0.0.1 and Port: 9666. If done properly you should be connected to the internet. That’s all.

How to Use Hotspot Shield with MTN BIS


1. Download the software from HERE.
2. After downloading, install it on your PC.
3. Connect your modem to the internet and then launch the software.
4. Wait for it to connect and start browsing. But the most embarrassing problem is that Hotspot shield always show ads.

NB --- If you don’t have a Blackberry phone and wish to do the MTN BIS and use it on your computer, you can also make use of other phone.

    i had freegate before oh, and i didnt know it could be used like this. i heard bis has unlimited gigabytes. is that true?

    Sir, I connect the mtn by using my blackberry as a modem because I don't have the modem but it only work for me on the first day and since then is not working again... What do I need to do again? Because on my blackberry configuration there is no place for me to add *99# is that the problem am having. Though it connect but it won't connect with the hotspot I download nor the freegate... Kindly assist me please.
