Earlier this year MTN Nigeria launched Apple’s iPad on their network with a wonderful offer that lets a subscriber enjoy a promo of Free Micro SIMs and 6GB of monthly data bundle which comes with a year validity and can be activated monthly via SIM Plus application on the iPad. Ever since its launch, If you already have the MTN Apple iPad and you have not been browsing with it, this post will show you how you can activate MTN Data on your iPad.AS at the time of this post, the 16GB version of this iPad was available for N141,000 while the 32GB version of it was available for N157,000.
Step 1: Go to settings> Cellular Data> SIM Applications> SIM Plus and Select My Tools:
Step 2 : Wait for the next prompt, and then select the "Data Bundle" option and wait for the next prompt:
Note: If you use the older version of the SIM Plus Application, you will not see the "Data Bundle" option in "My Tools" menu, so you will need to update the your iPad SIM Plus Application. To do that Click hereStep 3: Now will be the time to choose the browsing platform you want to use which is the Data Bundle. The Data Bundleyou selected in step 2 will display the following options, select your choice from the list:
Breakdown of the Options under "Data Bundle"
FastLink: Lets you select from the list of available FastLink plans.
Mobile Plan: Lets you select from the list of available Mobile Internet plans
Promo Bundle: Lets you activate MTN Promotional bundle plans
Check Plan: Lets you Check you data bundle balance.
Reset: Lets you reset your Data Plan, to browse at pay as you go rate (5kobo/KB)
To Get the Latest Version of SIM Plus: Go to settings> Cellular Data> SIM Applications> SIM Plus and then Select >My Tools
Once this is done successfully, you can now activate any MTN Data Plan of your choice via the SIm Plus Application.

- Under "My Tools", select "Manage" and wait for the prompt to install, remove or update.
- Select "Update" and wait for the next prompt.
- Select "Data Bundle" and the menu will be updated (Note: This process take few minutes)
Once this is done successfully, you can now activate any MTN Data Plan of your choice via the SIm Plus Application.
